Just a short drive from our cottages lies Repovesi National Park, one of Southern Finland’s most popular outdoor destinations. Vast forests, crystal-clear lakes, and rugged cliffs create unforgettable experiences for visitors of all ages. The park features well-marked hiking trails, a suspension bridge, scenic viewpoints, and campfire sites – making it a great adventure for families, active travelers, and those seeking peace in nature.
Fishing enthusiasts, birdwatchers, and photographers will appreciate the park’s rich biodiversity – every visit offers a new perspective on Finland’s natural beauty.
Our cottages are located right on the shores of Lake Korpijärvi, making swimming, boating, and fishing effortless and enjoyable. Each cottage includes a private boat, perfect for exploring the lake or finding a quiet fishing spot.
The surrounding forests are ideal for hiking, berry picking, and mushroom foraging. In summer and fall you can collect blueberries, lingonberries, and chanterelles, while winter brings opportunities for ice fishing, skiing, and snowshoeing.
Morning birdsong and the lake’s calm waters create the unique cottage atmosphere that many long for once they return to city life.
The Mäntyharju region offers plenty of fun for families and younger visitors. Spend summer days at local beaches, rent a SUP board, or cycle along well-maintained routes. For children, cottage life itself is an adventure – swimming, boating, and exploring nature make every day memorable.
Young adults will find plenty of activities too: kayaking, mountain biking, geocaching, and a variety of cultural events, especially during the summer months.
Mäntyharju is well-known for its lively cultural scene. A must-see is Art Center Salmela, which hosts Finland’s largest summer art exhibition. You’ll also find cozy cafés, restaurants, and charming craft shops in the area.
In the village center, you can shop, enjoy an ice cream on a sunny day, or join one of the local events. Mäntyharju strikes the perfect balance between convenience and the peaceful atmosphere of a small Finnish town.
